Topic: What does today’s audience want?

Why are 85% of our films being rejected by the audiences? Is there a disconnect between screenwriters-filmmakers and the viewers? Is the creative calibre of our films declining? Are we not able to think up interesting stories? Why is there is rush for remakes and sequels? How does one explain this allergy for original scripts? Is economics the villain? Are ballooning film budgets, owing mainly to high star-fees and heavy production costs, driving filmmakers away from what should be their greatest strength - risk-taking-ability?

Speakers: Mr. Anjum Rajabali (writer of Drohkaal, Ghulam, The Legend of Bhagat Singh and Raajneeti etc.)
Mr. Himanshu Sharma (writer of Tanu Weds Manu, TWM Returns, Raanjhana)
