The "International Torch Campaign" launched by the Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) Trust, Jaipur Film Market-JFM and WORLD'S LARGEST & MOST SECURE FILM LIBRARY & INTERNATIONAL CINEMA CENTRE marks a significant endeavor for the global cinema community.

Initiated by JIFF's Founder Director, Hanu Roj, the campaign commenced at the India International Centre in New Delhi on 28th March 2024. In this event participated of 300 filmmakers from India and abroad, including prominent figures from all over the world.

Hanu Roj highlighted the campaign's origins, which began in 2022 from Guwahati with the aim of promoting Indian regional cinema through the "JIFF Indian Panorama" initiative. The campaign has garnered attention from various stakeholders in the film industry, including producers and actors. The overarching goal is to redefine the concept of regional cinema and explore the notion of international cinema. It was the biggest campaign of Indian Cinema.

The torch campaign, now launched from New Delhi, is set to traverse through cities like Hyderabad and Trivandrum in India before extending its reach to countries such as Iran, China, Japan, South Korea, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, England, Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Austria, Italy, Greece, Romania, Canada, United States, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Australia and South Africa. This magical campaign will continue for the next 18 months and aims to engage approximately 200 crore people worldwide. Notably, film stars and media personalities from every country will participate, fostering meaningful dialogues on Indian and World Cinema. It will be the biggest campaign of Indian and World cinema.

Overall, the "International Torch Campaign" represents a significant initiative to celebrate and promote the diversity and richness of cinema on a global scale.

International Torch Campaign under Jaipur International Film Festival's auspices launched in Hyderabad. Founder-Director Hanu Roj endeavours to promote Telugu cinema at global level. The International Torch Campaign was started with the lighting of Jyoti in the presence of several film celebrities.

Damodar Prasad, President of the Telugu Film Producers Council, attended the event as a guest. He said "He is not an individual but a force. His tireless efforts are unforgettable. It is commendable that he started the International Torch Campaign in Hyderabad today,

T Prasanna Kumar, General Secretary of Telugu Film Producers Council, was another guest. He said, "Telugu cinema has grown from old-generation cinema to the new-age cinema catering to a global audience. Not only contemporary movies but also classics like Patala Bhairavi, Chandi Rani, and Mosagallaku Mosagadu, among others, deserved global fame. During the days when NT Rama Rao was the Chief Minister, he organized an international film festival in Hyderabad and tried to spread the fame of Telugu cinema to the world. The governments of the Telugu States haven't been giving Nandi Awards. We hope that they will resume the process."
