MESSAGE FROM FOUNDER DIRECTOR
#LiveAnywhere #BeSafe
Hanu Roj (Founder Director - JIFF)
The way I feel CINEMA is a passion, now even surviving or living is a passion. Our lives are at huge risk, and COVID has made us understand that. We have hardly come out of the hazardous impact of the pandemic and unfortunately, in form of OMICRON, it's back. Hence, the state government has declared new rules and protocols. We need to follow the rules as they are made for our safety so that we could live healthy and happy.
...Along with maintaining the discipline; this is an hour to acknowledge that as cinema enthusiasts, our responsibilities are bigger now. We are supposed to make good cinema and spread it to audiences as much as we can. While running a Film Festival, we must spread cinema to all film lovers across the world, with a novel image.
I’m aware of the fact that due to the challenges thrown by COVID, nobody has remained unharmed. Despite that ~ you have made films and submitted your films to Jaipur International Film Festival. Today, we are standing together on this platform, and let’s promise that this BOND would NEVER FADE.
I feel sorry for such film enthusiasts, who have reached India, but due to COVID rules, are still not able to reach our Film Festival. I promise ~ we will meet for sure.
Looking at the crucial circumstances, I truly appreciate our Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot, who has successfully managed everything, despite such difficult situations all around. We all feel inspired by the way he performs his duties and puts a wonderful example of good governance.
There were days when I felt low, but it was such enthusiastic participation of filmmakers across the globe that filled me with high energies once again. Today, we all are stepping forward TOGETHER.
Let’s come forward, maintain the discipline and do our duties. Let’s do it all TOGETHER. Let’s MOTIVATE each other and GROW higher.
Have a HAPPY & HEALTHY New Year to you all!
I welcome you all to our beloved PINK CITY.Thank you!
